Andrew Hilger is a lot of things. A husband, dad, son, brother, and friend. A hiker, traveler, mediocre golfer, reader, writer, and bar-game aficionado. A fan of Notre Dame and Philadelphia sports, indie movies, live music, and just about any cool experience. Oh, and he’s had a messy, wandering career — more portfolio than path.
He’s worked in a group home, taught English-as-a-second-language students college composition, wrote proposals for an environmental company, been on process improvement teams, led technology initiatives, and served as president of Allegis Group, the largest privately held staffing and services company in the world.
While that sounds like a collection of stuff, there’s a throughline. Andrew likes to be part of organizations that give great people a chance to do more than they thought possible. Right now, that takes the shape of helping people navigate a challenging, ever-changing labor market.
Since leaving Allegis, he has taught at Duke University, guest lectured at St. Gallen’s, West Virginia, and American University, and written a regular LinkedIn blog. He co-created a course at Duke entitled “Business as a Force for Good” and speaks on digital transformation, the future of work, leadership, AI, change management, analytics, and the role businesses should play in reshaping our world.
He can’t whistle, hasn’t finished Ulysses, and believes firmly in the Oxford Comma. He’s a husband of nearly 30 years, father to three genuinely cool human beings, and is currently employed by Leo, the family Newfoundland.
